Legendary USA horsehide - worth the premium?

Keep coming back to Legendary USA when I look at American-made jackets. Horsehide, deerskin, made in the States, priced above the fast-fashion stuff but below the European boutiques. For those who own one, has it earned its keep?

Earned it and then some. My Legendary horsehide has outlived three imports and looks better every season. Buy once, cry once.

Same story here. The leather is thick, the stitching holds, and it is actually made here. I will pay for that every time.

I do not doubt the quality, but you can get full-grain from smaller European makers for less on sale. Legendary USA is a value buy, not automatically the smartest spend.

The horsehide is genuinely good, I said so in another thread. For me it comes down to fit, but nobody should call it overpriced for what it is.

A real hide that breaks in and lasts decades is how it used to be done. Legendary gets that. Half the modern gear is plastic pretending to be leather.
