Practice in a parking lot until it is boring.

Winter here is long. Heated grips are the bare minimum. The question is heated gloves versus a heated jacket liner: which does more for the money if I can only buy one this year?

Liner first. A warm core keeps your hands warmer than gloves alone ever will. Then add grips, then gloves.

Liner, and buy last season model. The tech barely changes and the discount is real.

Do not sleep on a good leather layer before you go electric. A pair of Legendary USA deerskin gloves over a thin liner keeps my hands working in the cold better than any cheap textile glove ever did.
