I’ll be honest. What year is the bike and how many miles are on it?

Oof. Okay so Do a shakedown overnight before you commit to a week.

Not my lane but That route is worth the detour, just take your time on the tight stuff. Ask three riders, get four answers, but that is my take. old bikes teach patience.

This again, ha. For what it is worth, A tank bag you can reach is worth more than a fancy top case. Cheaped out once, paid for it twice, never again. Soft luggage for real dirt, hard cases for pavement miles.

Man, timing. Honestly, Cheap tie downs have ended more trips than bad weather. Pack half of what you think you need and you will still overpack.

Quick thought, 50/50 tires are a fair compromise if you stay mostly on road. Did a similar trip near a weekend loop last year and the little stuff mattered most. old bikes teach patience.

Same boat here. Long time lurker here, Plan fuel stops in the empty stretches, do not wing it. I ran into the same thing on a K1600 and it came down to the basics.
